«Резиновая шея». Нелюбознательный турист, который проводит свой отпуск в туристическом автобусе, выходя только для того, чтобы позевать, а не полюбоваться достопримечательностями. Такому туристу очень важно уметь быстро поворачивать голову, т. е. иметь «резиновую шею». Глагол to rubberneck значит проводить отдых таким образом. Автобус называется the rubberneck wagon. Сейчас слово применяется к любому зеваке.

In London in summer you can't go anywhere without bumping into a crowd of rubbernecks. — В Лондоне летом, куда бы вы ни пошли, везде наткнётесь на толпу зевак-туристов.
